About Me
My name is Dana Nicole, and I'm an award-winning tattoo artist based out of Phoenix, Arizona! I've been tattooing since 2022 and started my apprenticeship journey in 2020. Getting into tattooing was never an easy road, but I've had a deep passion for it since the moment I first held a machine. Some of my biggest art inspirations come from anime, cartoons, fashion, and pop culture!
I live with my two cats and partner, and in my free time, I enjoy playing video games, roller skating, any type of arts and crafts, traveling, and spending time with my cats and loved ones.
What my clients say?

I reached out to Dana about two years ago for a couple tattoos I really wanted. Little did I know she’d make me want to come back and get an entire sleeve and many more done! Not only is her work amazing, but every session I’ve felt comfortable and confident that she will exceed my expectations. She makes the environment inviting and special every time! I’d say I have found my forever artist! Thank you for everything!

I first found Dana’s page on instagram and I fell in love and knew I had to get her as my tattoo artist for my sleeve, and any other tattoos I want to be honest. From the second I walked into the studio I felt welcome. She has this pull about her that made me feel so comfortable and welcome. She was very thorough and honest about the process, explained everything step by step and even gave me breaks when I needed. She was very patient with me and answered any and all questions I had. The entire time I was in the chair it honestly just felt like a hang out, the time absolutely flew by which was great cause I was so nervous but she made the process as easy as possible. She even had snacks and drinks available. Very clean lines and shading even long after its healed, no bleeding at all. I’m excited to finish my sleeve and plan more with her.

Dana is the sweetest and her tattoos don’t hurt at all! I’m always excited to catch up and hangout with my friend. Plus all her tattoos look AMAZING ❤.

Where do you work?I’m currently located in Phoenix, AZ! I work out of Monarch Studios. My shop’s address can be found in my Instagram bio and at the bottom of this page.
-
What do you charge?I charge per piece as opposed to hourly! Once I receive all the info from you on my booking form, I’ll give you a set price so you know exactly what your piece will cost. If you’re looking at a larger-scale project that would take longer than a day session, I may give you a price range, as time could start to vary more based on the size or complexity of your ideas!
-
Can you work with my budget?I’m always happy to work within your budget! Feel free to let me know in your booking form if you have a price range in mind for your piece, and we can design with that in mind or split larger pieces into sessions.
-
How much is a deposit? My deposits are $100. This locks in your appointment date and time in my schedule, and it does go toward the total cost of your piece on the day of your appointment. A deposit is required to book, and please note they are nonrefundable. Deposits can be transferred to a new date in the case of a reschedule, as long as at least 72 hours’ notice is given before your scheduled appointment. A new deposit will be needed if less than 72 hours’ notice is given or in the case of more than one reschedule. Deposits are good for 6 months from when they’re made if a reschedule is needed.
-
Do you charge extra for customs?Nope! All my work is priced per piece and based on my general estimate of the tattooing time your idea would take. So my drawing time plays no factor in the price! I love working on customs, and I’d love to help you bring your unique idea to life.
-
Will you tattoo something other than anime?Absolutely! As long as your idea is something I think I can execute, I would love to work with you. I enjoy a variety of styles, so even if you don’t see it on my page, feel free to ask! I’ll always be honest about my abilities and will recommend you to another artist if your tattoo isn’t something I feel confident in.
-
Will you take on coverups/reworks/blast-overs?I love working on any of these when it’s the right fit! It depends on the piece and your ideas, but as long as I think I can, I will! If not, I can gladly recommend another artist or option. Feel free to send in a booking form, and I’ll do my best to help you out!
-
When do I get my design? If you’re getting a custom piece with me, I’ll start work on your design the week of your appointment! A rough draft will be sent over to you anywhere from 1–3 days ahead of your session. This won’t be a finalized version and may still have rough lines or lack shading, but it gives you a chance to clearly see the layout and details I have in mind for your piece, and the opportunity to have some input into your tattoo! Once the draft is approved by you, I’ll start working on the final version from there, and your final design will be shown at your appointment!
-
Can I bring a friend to my session?Yes! You are allowed one guest to accompany you to your appointment.
-
Can I use numbing cream?Under some circumstances, I will allow numbing cream to be used; however, this is largely on a case-by-case basis, and I require a very specific process to be followed, including testing ahead of time for reactions and use of a specific brand. PLEASE do not use any numbing cream without consulting me first! Numbing cream can compromise the quality of your skin and your healing, as well as cause real health risks. If you come to your appointment with numbing cream already applied without prior communication, I may be forced to cancel your appointment for the day, and your deposit would be lost.
-
How much is a full sleeve?Lots of factors affect how long a sleeve will take, so there’s no real answer to this question! Things such as the size of the area we are filling, the style of work you’re wanting, individual pain tolerance, the amount of detail in each piece, how well hydrated your skin is—all of these and more can change each person’s time estimate!
-
Do you take walk-ins?I am appointment-based only! Typically, I will post any last-minute availability on my Instagram story, or you can always ask to be placed on my cancellation list to be first in line if a spot opens up!
-
What types of payment can I use?I use CashApp and Zelle for deposits! Cash is preferred for the remainder of your balance on the day of your appointment, but I also accept CashApp and Zelle for this as well. Please contact me if these methods don’t work for you, and we can discuss other options.
-
What if my tattoo needs a touch-up once healed?Touch-ups are free within a year of getting your tattoo! Please send me some healed photos of your tattoo so I can estimate how much time is needed. Any work done over a year ago may be subject to a small fee. Touch-ups are free if done in the same session as a new tattoo—just be sure to include your touch-up request info and photo in your booking form!
